Moonphase is a mirror, not a ledger. One principle: what can stay in your browser never gets uploaded, and what we must handle, we take the minimum of and say plainly why. This page applies to moonphasediary.com.
What stays in your browser (never uploaded)
Your test answers, type result, birthday, unlocks and collection records live in your browser's localStorage. Birth moon phases and personal-layer crossings are computed on your device and never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes all of it.
What you hand us: your email
When you subscribe to the weekly letter or unlock a report, we receive your email, type number and interface language. They are stored in Cloudflare KV and synced to Buttondown, our email service (double opt-in). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all sending.
Payments
All payments happen on Stripe's hosted checkout. We never see or store your card number. What we receive is the payment confirmation and the email you paid with, used to grant unlocks and question credits. Everything paid is a one-time purchase, no subscription, no auto-renewal; refund terms are as stated at the paywall.
Ask the Moon (AI questions)
When you use Ask the Moon, your question text and type number are sent to an AI model provider to generate the answer. Under its commercial terms, this content is not used to train models. Q&A logs auto-delete after 30 days, and emails in logs are stored only as hashes.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic statistics (page views, test funnel) to improve the product. There are currently no live third-party ads on the site (any ad slots you see are placeholders); if that changes, this page will be updated.
Deletion and contact
To delete your email records or question logs, reply to any email we have sent you (the confirmation, the weekly letter, or a receipt) and tell us. We will handle it within a reasonable time.
