Bright Flame (Fire) × The Still-Water Keeper

At the bottom of the deep pool, there's a live volcano no one has ever seen.

The Still-Water Keeper holds the pool dead still on top, calm above whatever moves below. Fire adds a dark heat to that reserve, so under the calm surface the feelings surge. At the bottom of the deep pool there is a live volcano no one has ever seen, the flat water on top and the molten heat far down. So you are the most unreadable of the still types, the surface giving nothing away and a real fire running where no light reaches.

At the critical moment, you erupt with more energy than anyone expected, the long-banked heat coming up all at once. People who read you as merely calm get caught off guard when the volcano speaks, because the force was building the whole time the surface stayed flat. Fomalhaut is the lone autumn star, a single light low over still water, and that is your stillness, solitary and composed with something burning under it. People mistake the calm for cool. It is a fire kept very far down.

Here is where the depth becomes a danger. You press all the fire inward, and after holding it too long it is either self-erosion or a sudden blast, the pressure with nowhere to vent turning on the walls that hold it. The moon mirrored in still water shows a perfect double and lets nothing through the surface. You keep a volcano sealed under a calm face and pay for the seal in private, the heat eating inward when it cannot rise. Some weeks the move is to let one person see the fire on purpose, to vent it slow before it blows on its own.
